Yes, it's really free. Some of the tools I recommend pay me a referral reward when you sign up through my link or invite. It costs you nothing, it often gets you a discount or free months, and I only recommend tools I use or have vetted. That's the whole catch.
No. You get the same help whether or not you use them. The links are just a way to say thanks if a tool fits.
No. Personalized coaching exists if you ask about it, but most people just get their questions answered and go build their practice. That's a good outcome.
It depends on what you need. Every practice is different, so we talk about scope and fees one-on-one after a free call. There's never pressure to upgrade.
No. Advantage Coaching is nonclinical business support. It isn't psychotherapy or clinical supervision, and it isn't legal or tax advice.
No. To avoid a conflict of interest, current employees and supervisees of Advantage Mental Health can't book. Please talk with your supervisor or manager through your usual channels.
This site isn't a patient portal. Please contact Advantage Mental Health directly.
Generally, no. California generally requires licensed clinicians to practice through a Professional Corporation rather than an LLC. Confirm with a California business attorney before you file anything.
It doesn't have to. If you work from home and set up as a service-area business, you can hide your address. Also consider a professional address for your filings and a data broker removal service once your NPI and filings go public. See the Full-Time Solo page for options.
Be careful. Google generally requires a real in-person location staffed during your stated hours, or a genuine service area. Telehealth-only practices and mail-only virtual addresses risk suspension. A real shared office with actual in-person hours is stronger. Follow Google's current guidelines.
I can't guarantee paneling with any payer, and neither can anyone else. What I can do is help you build the systems and follow the steps that give your applications the best chance.
It depends on your area, your niche, and your systems. Medi-Cal can bring steady referrals, and it isn't charity work when your systems capture everything you legitimately provide and document. It's also paperwork-heavy. We can look at whether it fits you on a free call.
Sometimes. It varies by payer and plan. Some payers credential associates, some require a licensed rendering provider, and some don't allow associate services. Confirm each payer's policy in writing before an associate sees that payer's clients.
Platforms offer fast credentialing and handle billing, but they set the rates and it's harder to add associates. Direct contracts give you ownership and scale with associates, but they're slow and paperwork-heavy. Many practices use both. The Insurance page compares all three paths.
Yes, eventually. A Psychology Today profile rents you visibility. Your website and Google Business Profile are assets you own.
Yes. I build and host therapist websites set up to be found on Google, Google Maps, and AI search. Scope is discussed one-on-one. Prefer DIY or another provider? I'll help you choose that too.
No one can guarantee AI mentions or rankings. What improves your odds: a site search engines can crawl, structured data, a page for each specialty and location, and consistent listings across Google, Bing, Psychology Today, and insurer directories.
